Grading system
0.3 * Colloquium + 0.3 * Exam + 0.2 * Homework + 0.2 * Midterm
- Colloquium: The colloquium consists of two parts. The first part involves answering theoretical questions during lectures. The second part is an oral colloquium on the course material, where you will be given three questions that you need to answer. You may also be asked to write a small piece of code. 0.1 * Lection_tests + 0.2 * Oral part
- Exam: Test from the theoretical part + tasks in the Yandex.Contest system, 120 min.
- Midterm: 5 Tasks in the Yandex.Contest system, 90 min.
- Homework: Tasks in the Yandex.Contest system given after each lecture.
AI and plagiarism policy
❗️The use of AI is strictly prohibited within the course (except for our helping bot 🙂)
❗️In case of plagiarism, one task nullifies the entire work
Defences
You may be asked to defend your solutions. This means that you are to discuss what you have done in your work with a seminar instructor or a TA.
During the defence you may be asked to:
- explain your solution
- modify your code with correspondence to some new conditions stated by the instructor/assistant
- solve the same or a similar problem either on paper or in IDE - it is up to the instructor/assistant’s choice
- identify (recognize) your solution among some others
- etc.
Please, take into account that if you do not show up on the defense, you automatically get 0 points for the work that was about to be discussed.
